Louisiana's Public Library Directors, Assistant Directors, Public Services, and Systems/Tech staff are invited to attend the 2008 Bayouland Library System I Love Technology Workshop.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Lafayette Public Library - Main Library. Registration begins at 8:45. The workshop starts at 9:15 and will end by 4:00. Lunch is included in the cost - which is $15 for Bayouland Members and $20 for non-Bayouland Members.
I Love / Hate Technology ... with a Passion will be our theme this year. The day will feature presentations of interest to Directors, Assistant Directors, Public Services Librarians, and Tech Staff.
Topics include the Digital Gumbo project, Picasa, AquaBrowser, maintaining your technology, dealing with winmail.dat files, accessing sites remotely, websites of interest, and much more.
Lunchtime will feature a Comedy Time, where your colleagues will present their funniest computer and technology stories.
Registration is limited to 60, with an initial limit of 3 per library. Those of you who are speakers will not need to pay to attend, but will need to register so we can have your meal choice on file. If someone from your library is also a speaker, they do not count towards the limit.
Please email or fax your form by Monday, February 4th to reserve your spot. Checks can be sent later or brought to the workshop (indicate as appropriate on the registration form). Please make checks payable to Bayouland Library System. We hope to see you there.
See you on the 14th!
